Whidbey & Camano Islands

Cross Deception Pass — the bridge alone is worth the drive, two hundred feet above the water — and Whidbey opens up: Coupeville’s waterfront, the prairie at Ebey’s Landing, beaches and small towns the length of the island. Camano is quieter still. About forty minutes south-west, and easily a full day.
