Selena Quintanilla was an iconic Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and fashion designer, often referred to as the “Queen of Tejano music.” Born in Texas, Selena rose to fame in the 1990s with her powerful voice and groundbreaking fusion of Latin music styles, particularly Tejano, a genre blending Mexican and American influences. Her albums, including Amor Prohibido and Selena Live!, made her one of the most celebrated Latin artists of all time. Tragically, Selena’s life was cut short when she was murdered in 1995 at the age of 23. Despite her untimely death, her music and legacy continue to influence generations, and she remains a beloved figure in Latin culture.
Tejano Queen Forever is a nationally recognized tribute band honoring the legendary Selena Quintanilla. Led by Carymel, the band has performed alongside major artists like Kumbia Kings, Rebelution, and Gin Blossoms. Carymel, a talented vocalist, has also collaborated with Latin icons such as Frankie Negron and Menudo, and has toured internationally in countries like Colombia and Panama. With Esteban, a classically trained symphony conductor, serving as the band’s music director, Tejano Queen Forever delivers a high-quality performance that captures the spirit and energy of Selena’s iconic music.
